S â€“ Specific
Clearly define your goal.

  • Example: "I want to run a mile faster."

M â€“ Measurable
Add a number to track progress.

  • Example: "I will reduce my mile time from 8 minutes to 7 minutes."

A â€“ Achievable
Ensure it’s challenging but realistic.

  • Example: "I’ll run 3 times a week to improve my time."

R â€“ Relevant
Align it with your overall fitness goals.

  • Example: "Improving my mile time will enhance my boxing stamina."

T â€“ Time-Bound
Set a deadline for accountability.

Pro Tip: 
Break larger goals into smaller steps. For instance, if your goal is to improve endurance, start with running, then build up to completing three 3-minute sparring rounds without tiring.

Or if your goal is to fight in the Golden Gloves, start with improving your conditioning, mastering combinations, and entering local matches.

  1. Training Begins Here:

    • Build your fundamentals (stance, footwork, punches, defense) in regular classes.

  2. Requirements to Start:

    • Age: Open to boxers aged 8 and up, with opportunities for youth, adults, and seniors. (Students can start training to become an amateur before 8 years old)

    • Experience: No prior experience is required—just the commitment to train consistently.

    • Commitment: Dedicate 2-3 sessions per week to progress and prepare for competition.

  3. First Fight Preparation:

    • Typically, you’ll be ready for your first fight after 6-12 months of focused training.

    • Coaches will evaluate your sparring and readiness before entering competitions.
